Today I show you ShareTool 2 by Yazsoft, which gives you instant access to all of your files, network, and bonjour services from anywhere in the world. This is an indispensable piece of software that I use on a daily baisis, and highly recommend.

I also show you a few often-overlooked handy Apple menu items, and how to see all the nitty-gritty tech specs for your Mac.

  • Thank you. I'll definitely be using this! Just what I needed!

I can finally access all of my media and files when I forget them at home.

  • other way to say what share tool is, it looks a LOT like VPN, except that things like OpenVPN take much more work to configure.

(but VNP is a universal protocol you can also use with Win32 and Linux, and you don't need an account for it, but you do need a static IP (or DDNS))

speaking of "ScreenSharing" btw, that is just VNC, but it doesn't like clients other then Apple's own, but you can Use ScreenSharing to connect to a PC with a VNC server :)

  • This is pretty handy.
