The counter-recruiters of CRC http://arizonacrc.org marched in solidarity with a call to action by supporters of Lt. Watada, the first officer in the military to refuse to fight in an illegal war (now occupation) of Iraq.

  • If this video gives anyone pause about the senseless torture and now murder of over a 1 million innocent people in the current conflict, then it is worth it. No oil or any resource is worth the blood spilled.

  • No, it would make a pawn out of you. A real man knows when to stand up for principle and say NO to the war-for-profit industry that has hijacked our military.

  • Well I am active in the army right now but I've still protested and marched on the capitol building and been involved in the political process. There are ethical, moral, and economic reasons etc. for us not to be at war. We should talk about these reasons in a civilized way. When u are protesting you should represent yourself and your opinions well. u said that a real man stands up for principle and says NO to war. What standing up have u done im curious? Protesting, writing, voting?

  • I bet most of these "kids" ended up enlisting at some point because of the economys unemployment. Everyone joins for their own personal reasons, and just signing the contract is a respected thing to do. But in my OPINION the people who have good things going for them but want to be a true patriot and serve and get that wonderful title as a VETERAN are the ones who like myself I respect the most. Joining after talking trash for years but now cant find a job and enlist to have an occupation is BS

  • @no3commando I'm one of those skinny little fucks with chalk in my hand disrespecting the military. What should i have done differently? Look at the military-industrial complex today. It keeps getting worse while "idiots" seem to be the only ones doing anything to counter it. I'll go with the "idiots" over the do'nothings any day.

  • @no3commando it makes a bitch and mind slave out of you, your a dog following orders

  • I have to give you credit, sir, for taking up the protesting to the politicians, who are the ones that make the decisions. I was active AF for 4 years and I followed up with my Congressional leaders accordingly.

Not like these idiots we see here who lack the basic cognitive abilties to write, call, or e-mail their reps and senators.

  • "Protesting, writing, voting?"

All of the above. And it hasn't done much good yet. That's why I'm always looking for new effective ways to reach the public and counter all the pro-war propaganda they get brainwashed with. Thus, I think taking the dialogue straight to the recruiter's door and handing info to potential recruits is a great idea. If you have better ideas, please share them.

  • OK, then, how would you do it differently? What approach should they take? Keeping in mind that the goal is to keep impressionable kids from being preyed on by recruiters and sent to die for oil & empire. Any advice?

  • You know I wrote this about a year ago. My opinions on the legitimacy of the war and our entire government has changed quite a bit. I can understand where these guys are coming from but I just wish they would have protested in a more respectable way and chosen their venue a little better. I'm a member of Iraq veterans against the war. I still think that they look like idiots the way theyre going about getting their message across.
