Sounds like hell. Cool.

@MrRCking84 you will need to refer to the instructions manual for your radio as each radio works a little differently. If you cant get it to work you can also try using elevon Y mixer cords. You can usually get these at the local hobby shop or look them up online.

@sarahlouconnolly Check the timing on your esc. I had mine set to the highest setting 30 degrees. It could also be your batteries if they have a low c rating. The ones I use are rated at 40c. Also check to make sure you have good solder conections. The Graupner prop may be a bit more efficient too, but I would think the extra pitch would even things out.

when i search for the bec i can only find ubec. But it looks the same it is turnigy and it is 3 amp with 5 amp burst. will this still work instead of regular bec?

@RCLuva that is exactly what I used in the plane. There is a direct link to the UBEC I used in the video information bar below video.

I've got a turnigy 3648 on my stryker with a catle 125 A esc , hyperion 5S 3300 mah, 45c/90c burst Bat ,10 a bec , 7-5 apc . The esc is set to normal timing , and I keep getting a bad on and off surge as I throttle up.I had it on 20 degrees at first , then witht he surging I set it back to normal timimng and the surge is still there. Funny thing is it won't surge when I'm holding it in my hand , only when it's up flying . Once it's at full it's fine . . Will the surge kill the motor?

@pencon61 Not sure if it will kill the motor but is probably isn't good for it. I had a similar surge issue with mine till I set the motor timing to the highest setting then it went away. We found this motor runs best set at 30 degrees timing and the PWM at 16KHz on the hk90/100amp esc. If you can go higher than 20 degrees on your esc try it.

hi instructions ive found on the net aint very good and the only thing it says about the timing is changing 5-1 = 2 to 4 pole motors
5-2 = 6 to 8 pole motors
5-3 = 10 to 14 pole outrunner
5-4 = Hi RPM outrunner (I think >20k)
i havent got a clue what poles are. im new to all this so its all sounding odd to me.,
can i ask what rpm yours is revving to and that way i can find out about mine because maybe my watt meter is crap. was bought frokm china for $25 delivered ye see

@sarahlouconnolly set the timing to the 5-4=Hi RPM setting. This motor definitely turns more than 20k.
