I saw parts of a movie awhile back and am looking for the title. the details are sketchy. They guy was looking for a painting or something. He went to california I think and met a girl. She takes him to a beatnik party and they are getting naked in a big vat of grapes. He is kinda conservative so he is nervous and they throw him in. Anyone know what I am talking about?

Protest politics, the anti war movement, environmentalism, modern music, hippie, and drug cultures were influenced by the Beat generation. They weren't connected to nature - they were more political. They Beats were a big deal. Take them seriously, will you?

The beat movement is the shittiest american social movement in history. Its not the fact that they were non-conformist either. It is the fact that they didn't have a reason to be non-conformist. They were rebels without a cause. They were all conformist to the counter-culture. No purpose. CAUSE TOMMOROW IS A DRAAAAAAAAAAAG MAN!

read up on the hippie movement, summer of love, and flower power. you made beatniks seem like hippies.. but they were before the hippies. just tryin to help out

i appreciate the pointers. this was a high school project from a few years ago. my friend wrote the script and i just did the filming and narration, but i think you're right about the hippie/beatnik differences.
