You guys need to read and listen to some history. George wasn't a friend of the Beatles, he was a Beatle. These are all famous and fabulous singers from different bands. I was listening to Roy Orbison when he first started singing. The Beatles are the most famous band ever, and Bobby Dylan is legend. Jeff Lynne's ELO were great too, but they were from another decade. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers--another great one from another decade. You have royalty here, my friends!

first off, this is a gross oversimplification and you clearly aren't very familiar with nirvana. secondly, when has subject matter been the sole criterion for judging the merit of a piece of music? kurt cobain, rest his soul, and company were passionate about what they did and did it well. music can be dark and serious and still be powerful. more than one road leads to rome.
as for the courtney love conspiracy theory, the circumstances are certainly fishy. not conclusive either way.

Nirvana were not that Great all they ever sang about was Being Depressed and Killing themselves, then you have weridos out there saying Kurt Cobain was Murdered like WTF?? His whole Mucic Career was based on him wanting to die...
