You made a comment about possibly taking the strips out and placing in a plastic bag (or whatever) when you went on your runs to avoid having the strip container on the back of the meter. I called the Nipro Diagnostics Customer Service number and the person said (not quoting,but) that the strips would go bad doing that. Since I've had diabetes for over 50 years and ran marathons before there were blood meters, I'd tke their word for it.. I use a Precision Xtra which is fairly light..
