This is what could happen if you use IE. By just entering the site it could crash your computer.
This video shows what happened with windows NT with IE6. But it also 'works' with windows XP.
I haven't test it with IE7.

update: now I have (IE7 with XP). Result: no popups, but now it got a virus on it ¬_¬

Firefox gives you a option if you want the site to use telnet. That's all.

  • Theres a real easy way to terminate all applications quickly in nt and later: press ctrl-alt-del, press tab until log off is highlighted, press ctrl-enter and click ok.

    Also, what website was that?

  • Which I could, but as soon as I enter the url, the comment won't be posted. Stupid youtube. Doesn't matter anyway as the site has been suspended now

  • always use Anti-virus programs, purchased ones ;)

not any of that free crap that doesnt do shit ;P

i myself use Kaspersky Internet Security :)

  • (Sorry for the late response, but I just saw it) Why would I buy anti-virus software when I already have to buy the OS. If you buy an OS you at least expect it to be safe, right? Not that you have to buy even MORE stuff to hide the flaws of the OS

  • safari hasn't have any phishing-filter. Maybe it's fast, but not safe. and IE is from microsoft, that's the main reason I switched to another OS.

  • @sparkybigptalkshow well then ur internet is

  • @TheUltraCoolDude1 even on my new laptop its lagging like fuck

  • @sparkybigptalkshow no, ur computer is...

  • this video is lagging like fuck

  • @thomasmulhall I'd love to but first: The website does not exist anymore. And secondly, I don't run windows anymore. I don't even have any CD's and I don't care enough to try to get a pirated version of windows running in VMWare

  • yes i actually do expect to have to, its a bit like with games, you buy a game often it will have some form of anti-cheat in it, luckily we dont have to pay for the anti-cheat it is included with the product. Though Microsoft has been delivering their new OS with built in AV program (crappy one though) for OS programs you need to choose and buy your AV program of preference, it would be nice to get it for free but not even Macs give you free AV program (and yes sooner or later you will need it)

  • @neoduke007

AVG is Free and it works

  • haha firefox idd de beste! :)

  • IE is for noobs. Pure and simple, if someone is dumb enough to use IE they deserver their viruses.

  • Hold the power button instead of doing it manually so it doesn't take long to wait for programs to close.

  • Firefox crashes but at least it gets back up. I haven't been able to use IE in a loooooong time. When it does work I can't get off because it turns itself back on. I don't know why they don't fix it after over a year that I have known of the problem.

  • IE 8 isn't platform independent, so i cannot install this shit on my Arch Linux.

  • i have the same problem when I was on XP.

Then i got firefox on vista

  • That looks interesting, though I keep on IE.

  • you most be affect by alot of virus

  • Firefox kix butt!!!
