Was Michael Jackson influenced by Bob Fosse's "Snake in the grass" character from the 1974 movie The Little Prince?

For All Those Fosse's fans is obvious that MJ (said or not) is inffluenced by Bob Fosse, cuz Fosse, really changed the way to dance, he doesn't just invented a few dance steps.

Something intrigues me. Obviously dancers build on the work of others before them and MJ always acknowledged this. Yet for all the people I heard him sight as influences (Astaire, Brown...) I never heard him mention Fosse. Have I just missed it? It seems a significant omission as this is maybe the closest thing I've seen to Jackson before Jackson. Perhaps he didn't want people to see how much he borrowed. (I never heard him mention Jeffrey Daniels in reference to the moonwalk either). Thoughts?

Like even The GREATS themselves have said MJ Learned from The GREATS & Became GREATER THAN THE GREATS...Like Fred Astaire said... MJ is The BEST Dancer there was..That Boy Can Dance like No Other..& James Brown said Yeah Michael Learned from me but as He Grew Older he Changed it to his OWN UNIQUE Moves :)

yeah & we Live in the 21st. Century... Before Bob Fosse & before Fred Astaire there was SOMEONE ELSE! that's How these Dances Keep Going.. Bob Fosse was Influenced by someone too.. & then you ADD your OWN Style..& MJ did That..It Keeps Going on While People keep Adding their Styles..Even though Some Might Accomplish or Some Might FAIL

yep so true.. DANCE IS AN ART FORM a never ending revolution, and only very few are able to take what already been done and use the creativeness to pioneer something new.
bob fosse, james brown, michael jackson have all done this. however people today are simply just copying, the music and entertainment buisness of TALENT died in the 90s.
