i like the way you feel superior when you understand something, and then you realize that what you understood were words such as "watashi", or "iie", and then you feel quite stupid to be so proud... Well, i thank you anyway. I mean, I may still have to work a lot to manage to understand the whole story, but i have finally managed to progress and that means a lot to me. I swear i'll give my it my all, and that one day, i'll finally be able to understand basic sentences.

I guess I'm a high beginner as I know almost all basic grammar and some of these sentences. I think this is great for learning vocabulary. : )

hmm im not sure about this but the sentence with the word 幸せ should not be translated into "im going to the big city to seek my fortune" but rather "im going to the big city to seek my happiness." cos from what i know 幸せ would mean more of a happiness than fortune
