Good Gat. One who has learn Tabla with full understanding of Bols and their position of bols can easily understand it because it is a language and only those can understand who learn properly

Because a huge part of Tabla is its cultural history which is already being forgotten by new generations of players! First it's "why does it matter who composed it", then "who cares what Gharana this is from"!! If it matters who composed Lacrimosa and the Moonlight Sonata, it matters who composed these pieces aswell! You would never hear someone saying, who cares who composed the Four Seasons! I'm sure Vivaldi would be turning in his grave!
