Nick and Jocelyn part 26

Nicks POV

Nick: Mom just tell me who..
Denise: Well... I... think... that Jocelyn will be staying with us...

My heart started racing and my head was pounding. Did she really say Jocelyn was satying here?? How weird was this going to get?

Joe: oh thats awesome I havent seen that girl in like...

Joe stopped and looked over at me and saw my reaction to what my mom had just said.

Joe: Well look at that 12 o'clock guess I have to um...bye!

Then I saw Frankie come running down the stairs

Frankie: Jocelyns coming!!
Denise: yeah sweetie
Frankie: cool!! I havent seen her in so long I miss her

I felt like I was going to pass out.

Jocelyns POV

I didnt get any sleep last night all I could think of was how miserable I was going to be staying in their house. What if Selena was going to be there? How much more awkward can we get here?

Nicks POV

I was in my room and I heard my phone ring. I ran over to pick it up and it was Selena.

Selena: look Nick I'm so sorry I shouldnt have gotten all upset like that she was the first person you ever really loved and I should have thought that through a lot more. I'm so sorry
Nick: well yeah you should have did you have any idea how close we were?
Selena: I guess I should have realized..
Nick: yeah well I guess that doesnt change much now
Selena: yeah so do you want to do something tonight?

I wasnt sure really how to tell her Jocelyn was going to be staying in my house for a while when she was here. I couldnt even cope with it never mind someone who was apparently my girlfriend.

Nick: Look I have to tell you something..
Selena: what is it?
Nick: Well you know how we're going to have a concert next week?
Selena: yeah and?
Nick: Well Jocelyn is going to be there too and she is going to be staying with us while shes here
Selena: are you serious?
Nick: yeah
Selena: Well then maybe I should be over a lot to make sure things dont get too weird.

That was actually the last thing I wanted someone I loved for so long and my current girlfriend in the same room. So weird.

Nick: no thats ok I dont want it to be weird for the both of you
Selena: ok then
Nick: well look I gotta go I'll talk to you later kay?
Selena: bye

One week later

Jocelyns POV

I just got off my flight from England to here. I felt a little jetlagged but I had other things to worry about than adjusting to the time change. I saw Denise their waiting for me as I was walking off the plane.

Denise: oh sweetie its so good to see you! your hair looks darker
Jocelyn: does it? It may be because there was so much more sun here in California
Denise: haha oh honey we've all missed you!

I could think of someone who might not have exactly.... missed me. I saw Frankie come running towards me. He actually made me smile which was something I havent done in a long time. He came running towards me and I picked him up.

Frankie: I missed you Jocelyn!!
Jocelyn: awww I missed you too Frankie

As I said that I realized I was crying. I guess I was so happy to see him and Denise.

Denise: the boys and paul are waiting at home for you honey
Jocelyn: oh ok

I felt like I wanted to throw up. Did I really have to see him? This was something I was both eager and dreading to do for a while. Of course the drive home had to go by fast too because something I didnt want happening was waiting for me at the house.

Nicks POV

I was waiting at home for her arrival. I happened to look out the window and saw the car pull up. I saw her getting out and it made me want to run and hide. If it was possible, she was even more beautiful than I last remembered her. Why did she have to make this so difficult for me? Without even thinking I ran upstairs and locked myself in my room. I felt like a loser but I didnt care. I couldnt bear seeing her. I heard another car pull up and I saw Selena getting out of the car. Could this day get any worse? I saw Selena eyeing Jocelyn as she was walking up towards the house. Jocelyn completely ignored her though. I could hear voices from downstairs but the one that stood out to me was Jocelyns.

Jocelyns POV

I saw Selena as I was getting out of the car. Why the heck was she here? I ignored her and just kept walking. When we got inside the house, I saw the warm familiar faces of Joe, Kevin and Mr. Jonas but HE wasnt there. I guess I was relieved, but at the same time I wanted to see him. I was given huge hugs from Joe and Kevin and Mr. Jonas and then went to go change in the bathroom from jeans and a long sleeve shirt to a t-shirt and shorts. I had forgotten how hot it really was here in California. As I was coming out of the bathroom I saw Selena again eyeing me. That was getting me really ticked off. I didnt do anything for her to be rude to me about.

Jocelyn: what?

I think she was actually surprised that I spoke to her so she turned away from me when I said that. Nick still hadnt come down from wherever he was.
