Here's Michael Peloquin doing his electrifying rendition of this Clifford Brown tune at the 2009 West Coast Jazz Harmonica Summit. Jeff Massanari: Guitar, Sam Bevan: Bass, Bryan Bowman: Drums. After playing two absolutely gorgeous ballads on chromatic, Michael whipped out one of his trusty diatonics and blew everyone away with this number. As is typical of Michael, there's lots of extra helpings of killer chops, tone, and soul.

This is a preview of the upcoming DVD featuring eight jazz harmonica artists. The West Coast Jazz Harmonica Summit was filmed in front of a live studio audience on August 10, 2009 at the Digital Media Factory in Santa Cruz, CA, USA and was produced by harmonicist Slide Man Slim. • Cool ! great !

  • It,s an exciting time for Harmonica and Michael,s been at the forfront for some time now. He,s a great player and a nice guy too. I,ve been playing a long time and feel like a beginner. I asked Michael about how he does overblows and he was most helpful although I still havent really got it yet. Thanks Michael, Eugene from Sausalito.

  • Michael is a monster player period! He is doing some gigs with The Blue Olives and we are honored! Killer harp! and the horns are all that too!

  • what a waist of talent ! 95% of the time you gotta play that stupid horn. MP has influenced my playing more than anyone. I will be forever greatful. On my web site it says Michael Peloquin "Gino's favorite harp player"!!!!! great job as always !!! Meat !!!
