Since he had veered and bolted into the woods on our last trip down the driveway, ground driving, I am wearing a helmut, determined to "do the driveway", we have a rocky but successful foray. Upon returning we head to the round pen where I neglect to close the gate (make a note, this can be harmful to your brain), in his enthusiasm Stash rushes out of the round pen and gets up on the pedestal, then farts with joy at his accomplishment. It doesn't get any better than this.

  • Stash has loved the pedestal since he was a baby, it really helps on turning on the forequarters too, and side passing, it makes em feel tall too, sometimes he finds himself a stump out in the pasture and just stands up on it, surveying his kingdom.

  • I just received some photos of his father, who won at Bishop Mule days as western Saddle Donk 15hh). Stash is puffed with pride at his father's (now a gelded) accomplishments. He is a spunky guy with great potential (but, alas, still naughty). But he is my naughty boy!

  • At least he didn't fart you off. Interesting brush country, where is that? Texas?

  • Oh go Stash, he is coming along nicely! The pedastal part made me laugh:)

  • I remember those days with Apollo, the hesitation as they build their confidence. And the pedestal "stunt" was similar to what Apollo did the first time I asked him to trot undersaddle. He trotted a few strides, then scurried over to stand on the tarp. It was if he KNEW he was supposed to do the tarp, but that trotting thing was still an "uknown". Thanks for another fun video! Stash is one good looking donkey.
