Maiden Love Part 18

*me ?* I asked

He nodded *yeah you dont act like you do in the castle*

I sighed, *Im more comfortable here, I grew up in Granwood forest, it has always been my father and I only us so Im not used to be around people*

*then why did you come here ?*

I looked down remembering the day I had to leave, the day those men killed my father in front of me and how I couldnt do anything about it. A few tears escaped and I didnt know that his majesty saw them.

*Im sorry I shouldnt have asked*

I shook my head * that day I went to the village beside the forest, I went there to sold eggs, but when I came back I heard men yelling I climbed on a tree to see what was going on, thats when I saw three men with my father, they wanted money but we didnt have any, one of them was about to attack my father with his sword when I gasped, they heard me, but my father started yelling he was telling me to leave, and to not show up, he ended up being killed in front of me*

I heard him sigh *Im sorry*

I shook my head *dont be*

After that we went to sleep.

The next day the king woke me up *come on Demitria, we have to* I nodded as I stood up.

Like yesterday his majesty helped me to climb on the horse *thank you* he nodded before climbing on it. *I want to be there as fast as I can so hold on me as tight as you can* I nodded and wrapped my arms around his stomach holding him as tight as I was able to.
