  • hi cganimator, really helping tut. but i got some problems that i cant solve, for instance nothing appeared in the uv editor, i can see the unwrapped mesh, but not the baking texture. badly need ur help. thnx in advance.

  • @0210akatsuki Select your object, go into edit mode and select all of you vertices. Then select your blank image while you have everything selected in edit mode, that might fix it.

  • Also, at 1:32, I cannot select vertices. Pressing Shift + Right click only selects or deselects the entire object.

  • @WhiteDragon103 Before you try any of those things, make sure you select the object and press "Tab" to go into edit mode. The reason different menus pop up is because you're in object mode.

  • how can i bake ambient occlusion onto an object that has a texture? for example, I want to give a building ambient occlusion for my game.

  • @goshfather Assign a different blank UV texture. Then do the same steps.

  • My guy turned into a mummy with white rays of light randomly shot all over...

I think I need extra help with this :\

  • Thanks man, I notice this video is pretty old but it's very useful still.

  • insted of usein the white texture can u use your own texture other then that?

or is there a nother set to add a image so it can work in a game

  • Hey Guy very good this tutorial. Tank you very much!

  • @WhiteDragon103 Never mind, found it. :) Watched the video again. Thanks man!

  • okay, so I have the ambient occlusion texture on the right side of my screen. I used a different unwrap method where the seams were behind the ears, chin and brow. But anyway, my monkey on the left still appears shaded without any texture. How do I preview the texture?

  • @cganim8or Thank you for the fast response. I'll try this tutorial again.

I want to make levels in Blender and import them into a game engine. The levels should have ambient occlusion baked onto them! :3
