This is a tutorial on how to fix the Dell inspiron 1525 rattling fan issue. I found my fan was always making a loud noise so I opened her up to fix it and instead of the traditional 20 step method that took m 3 e over an hour and a half I found a quick 30 second fix.

This process involves removing or loosening one screw. Do not attempt this if you do not feel comfortable removing the media board.

  • your panel pop out pretty easy! i can't get mine to pop out and i don't want to force it too much kus it looks like its going to crack

  • @chikaskata You have to be pretty careful, however the first time it took a while. Don't be scared, the plastic is pretty flexible.

  • @sbetgro Exact same for me the lust goes in hardrive cheashed, hinges broke, screws fall out and last October it wouldn't turn in anymore and since they closed their factory in Ireland and moved to Poland for cheap labour I will not support them I'm bit being racist but u can't understand the Indians in the

  • @Aviationnation10 yeah the exact same thing happened with my 1525. I will never buy a dell again. I;ve replaced my harddrive twice and motherboard once. I mean if I took time to list everything I've had to replace I'd lose a half hour. NEVER AGAIN. And when you call suppot/use online support expect them to be suspicious and to lose 2 hours of your life.

  • What exactly does the screw do that you took out? is it not holding the fan in place?

  • @chikaskata

There are two screws in the battery compartment that need to be undone, if you don't take these out, you'll snap the media panel!!

  • soooooo gooooddd !!!

  • @chikaskata Be careful, some models, like mine, have two screws holding the media panel in. They are located underneath the battery

  • Really worked, thanks a lot!!

  • thank u dude..my laptop is breathing again....!!

  • the 1525 is my first laptop never Dell again the hard drive went, screws on both hinges fell off and the bottom case cracked etc
