There used to be an electronics store in Huntsville called WW Electronics, it was one of the cities oldest electronics stores. I used to purchase all of my capacitors, and resistors at this store. I purchased a lot of tubes, and parts there as well. Me an the owner Bill got to be quite good friends. I often consulted Bill when I would run into something that had me stumped, many times he would offer some useful information to help me along my way. I often brought in radio's I had completed to show him.

One afternoon I came in to buy some supplies, bill carried me to the back store room, said he had something for me, well it was this radio. It was dingy, discolored, aged, and did not work, I took it home and placed it on the "In coming" shelf.

In honor of Bill, from WW Electronics Clinton St. Huntsville Alabama, this radio received a good cleaning, and a full electronic restoration. All capacitors were replaced, as well as any out of tolerance resistors, a test of all tubes, replacing marginal, or bad tubes, and an alignment, here is your finished product.

This is a nice example of a 1950 Fada Model 790 Bakelite table radio, it's tube complement is as follows: (3)6BA6, 12AT7, 6BE6, 6AT6, 6AL5, 25Z6GT, 25LGGT, and Ballast tube #117.24

I hope you enjoy, and thanks for visiting!!!!
