To defend a military coup like this, you and your "educated" class don't know the meaning of democracy.

but did you know that in 1985 Micheli was doing the exact same thing Manuel Zelaya was doing, he wanted to have a referendum so that the actual president back then could extend his presidency, and Ricardo maduro president before Manuel Zelaya did some changes on the Honduran constitution? And the same people that are against Manuel Zelaya supported him on those changes. We live in a corrupt Country and Manuel Zelaya was the first president to figt against that.

Good for Micheletti and the Hondurans. As Sanpedrola says, Micheletti is a member of the Liberal party like Zelaya. Sounds like Zelaya's ego grew some extra tonnage and he couldn't bear to let go. So he tried to pull a Chavez, but didn't make it.

in the words from micheletti - on his lack of giving zelaya a proper CONSTITUTIONAL trial

"Regarding the decision to expel Mr. Zelaya from the country the evening of June 28 without a trial, reasonable people can believe the situation could have been handled differently," Micheletti wrote

and also.. it was all just political - of course.. the rich ruling elite hated zelaya... 'Zelaya, a timber magnate known for his trademark cowboy hat, had angered the traditionally conservative ruling elite'

oh heavens no! don't anger the ruling elite.. the FOX's of the world... and then to propose a vote on a change to the constitution - well then... that does it - a coupm my friends - the rich elite were looking for a reason - zelaya gave them a good one.

A coup is an illegal, often violent removal of a head of government. It can take many forms. A uniformed officer need not carry the title of president for the event to be considered a coup. If anything, the June 28 coup in Honduras ejected a leader of whom the armed forces disapproved (and who, indeed, was likely issuing it illegal orders), and replaced him with a leader whom the armed forces found more palatable.

that is .. my friends.. a coup.
