[mariodark] Blooddrunk (Children Of Bodom) Vocal Cover

One of their most known songs, and one of albums best songs, enjoy, this one took me quite some time :D this one goes for all of you who have this unquenchable thirst for something ;)

This is a vocal cover I've made for Children Of Bodom's Blooddrunk from their self-titled album released in 2008. I've recorded my voice with a Shure PG48 (XLR) microphone through my Pod UX2 into Mixcraft, using Gearbox, and I never apply any effects on it, for vocal recordings. That includes also editing tracks, my growls/screams aren't edited by any means, as i stated on the other videos. This video has 6 vocal tracks, one for the riffs, one for the whispering, two for the chorus (i recorded the same lines twice and panned left and right) and two more for the highest pitch and lowest pitch growl on the "Blooddrunk!" thing in the chorus too. :)

I didn't post any video, this is audio only (as you can obviously see lol) because I don't have a cam yet, but i will upload another version of it less "studio style", more like straight forward with some action hehe, sorry for that, though :) (copy paste! xp)

The vocals are the least important part in children of bodom songs. The same could be said for a lot of melodic metal bands. I don't see the point in covering just the vocals. If you got a band together and played a full cover, that might be worth watching.

If you don't like vocals or screaming generally, don't watch vocal cover videos. That makes sense to the rest of the world, and there are thousands of screamers doing the same thing, live with it.

You didn't check my latest videos 'cos if you did you wouldn't say that. Also, I didn't say that having a mic makes you scream better, but recording screaming videos doing an air-mic kind of act is purely wanna-be. Suits you.

@GARYmetallica I must say that you have to think outside the box and acknowledge that I have own vocal style and I am not trying to "imitate" anyone. I just happen to really like CoB and covering their songs feels comfortable (PITCH-WISE). If you wanted to say that this cover doesn't sound as good as some others out there or even some other covers of mine just say so, because this was one of the first covers I've preformed, but "imitating" was never a goal/accomplishment. It's my technique, man.
