This is one of the cleverest commercials ever made. I saw it long ago during a SuperBowl when it first came out. Too bad about the copyright bs on the other examples.

But I'm so clueless re: dolls that at first I thought the guy was coming to pick up his date and winking at the girl's *mom* before the daughter came down the lift :-D...and it was the girl's dad who was horrified at his daughter speeding off.

@notanotheraccount What actually is happening is that Barbie is dumping Ken to go out with GI Joe. Your mom is the normal Barbie before she gets dressed to step out with GI and your Dad is Ken who is getting dumped
