We, The People - An American Anthem

With lyrics both timely and timeless, "We, The People: An American Anthem" is a new patriotic song designed to speak to -- and to be sung by -- all Americans. As Denzel Washington said on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial on 1/18/09 at President Barak Obama's Inauguration concert, "Music has always been the creative heartbeat of the American experience."

"We, The People" focuses on the American experience and the value Americans place on freedom while thanking those who made it possible, and it looks ahead with hope and optimism to our nation's future.

The term "America" has several definitions. One is the United States of America. Another is either the North American or South American continent. A third is the lands of the western hemisphere including North, Central, and South America and the West Indies.

I'm certainly not the first to use "America" to refer to the United States of America! Think of the songs "God Bless America" and "America."

I liked that song, but can't help my heart breaking as I watch and listen. We are about to lose all of this under that guise of tolerance, secularism, liberalism, socialist handout programs, corruption in our govt and our businesses. Our founders knew that freedom can ONLY survive if the people are a moral people. I pray that we can turn back in the right direction before it is too late for America!
