http://fiat500usa.com At the North American International Auto Show held in Detroit Jan 2010, Nick Cappa, Engineering P.R. Manager, talks about the Chrysler Group LLC powertrain display. Mr.Cappa gives a description of MultiAir and also shows off the new Pentastar engine and the Fiat 1.4L Turbo. The 1.4L 16V MultiAir Turbo produces 170hp giving it one of the highest specific outputs available in a normal production car.

  • Go fiat! Go!

  • The Turbo's boost is computer controlled and smooooth. Modern turbo cars are just as smooth, if not smoother than mechanically driven superchargers, so no worries.

  • I've never driven a turbocharged engine... wonder what the combination of turbo and this multiair thing is like. Wouldn't it be a bit lurchy, since the turbo will provide boost at kind of random times, compared to a supercharger?
