  • is that a cummins i hear coming from them dules?

  • @mog5858 V6 Cummins

  • Do ya'll still skid with dozer's up there. When we still logged we had 2 d5g's with winches. Is there an advantage from using a skidder from a dozer up in your neck of the woods. 5 stars. greetings from ohio.

  • @isonexcavating21 This from 15 years ago,so the world has changed. The grapple skidder has become king in the interior, and northern B.C.Very little cat logging unless with a D5H or 527 type grapple cat.Skidders are cheaper to run than track machines in goood ground, and faster

  • This must have been a contractor going for you Todd.

I like the dual exhaust, dual foo-foo valves too

  • @gangesexcavating Contract Skidder,Got ours in 96.Used to actually be a handful of guys that made their living with onty a skidder and saw.It would be a no go now to own a line skidder and try too hire out.

  • sweet clip! i love the old footage

  • Hi skadill,

This video in particular made me think of a friend who actually does tree Farm gets all the trees cut in one fell swoop and new trees to replace those which have been harvested. It is not the kind of 'investment' that gets huge returns, but the reason my friend had done it is because she is on the 'green' lobbying and if she can she does what she tells others to do, in this case she bought a 20 Acres of land which just happened to have a couple of houses on it.

    Take care,

    mrbluenun

  • @skadill Thanks alot for you quick reply. That makes alot of sense because i remember out logging jobs were typically land clearing jobs that we were clearing for farmers and only pulling 200 to 300 yards man. And seeing as we owned a excavating business they served duel purposes. Thanks man, You canadians got this business down pat in your environment. 5 stars.

  • @PureN3WZ3ALAND must be the time zone difference, LOL

  • Cool Video!
