@5954ldydi Continued... until their kitten puts on more weight and grows a bit. I feel so guilty... had I not read the info on cats going in heat I would of cancelled this appt and continued to increase her weight... instead I trusted that my vet would tell me if there was an issue with her being so tiny! If any of you have a tiny kitten at 6 months... she was terrified to leave the house (she was an indoor kitten) I read that fright may have contributed to her death also.

Yea... thanks for the tips -I believe my 6 month old kitten went into heat a little over a week ago. I previously cancelled a appt to get her fixed because she small for her age and I had a uneasy feeling. After reading that she will continue to go in heat I made another appt and took her two days ago for the procedure. The vet called an hour and fifteen mins. later to let me know she died as soon as he put her under. I DISAGREE smaller sized kitten owners should wait a couple of months first.
