Thanks for these videos...very helpful stuff. And also...bravo on having background music in your videos that doesn't make it hard to hear what you are saying...such a skill makes you better than 99 percent of those who post on youtube. =)

Can dis be done on win. 7???

WINDOWS XP! Man, its been a long time

You have to go to the software center in ubuntu and go to the themes and tweaks menu. You then download the themes and put them in your themes folder. Which is in computer>then file system>usr>themes.
After that, you should be able to go to system>preferences>appearance and tweek it from there.

@thisweekinlinux I want to install this on a windows xp but can it corrupt my windows files? Because my parents would be mad. Nice videos, m8!

gets so boring watching it install

@thisweekinlinux i have found wubi to be a good option i use it as a main way to switch from windows and ubuntu but i hardly use windows. but if you go to your "host" folder under local disk you can browse your files on the windows side so if you get full you can move the files to the windows side or vise-versa hope that helps.

I see you you did 10gb, can you add more later? Or are you stuck with just 10?

How do I get rid of this ugly windows 98 theme in ubuntu? When I try to browse my folders or go on firefox or anything, it just has this old, blocky, windows 98-type theme. I've tried going to the appearance application, but I can't find anything that will change it.
Really nice videos!!! But weird song...

When you make it 10GB, is that how much it can store? Is it possible to expand the amount?
theif519 10 months ago
@theif519 yeah, when you select the 10Gb option, I believe you can make it as big as 30gb there. Keep in mind, Wubi isn't really intended to be a long-term option for installing Linux, more of a "try it before you buy it" option, because you're putting yourself at the mercy of the Windows filesystem doing it this way, and the file could corrupt.

willlisawsom 10 months ago 2
@willlisawsom it's called "Netherworld Shanty" by Kevin MacLeod. I like it, but it doesn't really fit well with what I do here, so I stopped using it.
