@AussieRaver1996 Because in the book Atticus tells Scout it's a sin to kill a mockingbird because mockingbirds are innocent. When the jury convicted Tom even though he was clearly not guilty they might as well have killed a mockingbird.

@fishoutofwaters2 This scene IS very accurate, but I have yet to see the full movie...Apparently the older version is the best and most accurate, but I haven't seen either version

@metinorsel I thought in the book he put his left hand on the bible using his right, but it fell and the judge just said to carry on...I'm kinda confused why it didn't do that either
