We are Anonymous.

Over the last few years, we have witnessed the censorship taken by the Turkish government, such as blocking YouTube, Rapidshare, Fileserve and thousands of other websites. Most recently, the government banned access to Google services.

These acts of censorship are inexcusable. The internet is a platform for freedom, a place where anyone and everyone can come together, discuss topics, and share information, without the fear of government interference.

We, Anonymous, will not stand by and let this go unnoticed.
We will fight with the Turkish people against their government's rain of censorship.

i am Turkish and happy to see that anons are helping us out, but you should know that the foundation of our society is being torn out. all of our rights turned out to be privileges and are going to be taken away one by one. most of turkish internet users use proxy and vpn systems to get around. we who fight for freedom are seen as marginals and probably already lost this fight but at least we are settling a revenge.

This video is hilarious :D As some said most internet users use proxy but why? They seek porn... Look at the statistics, 99% searches porn There is no censorship at all. There are plenty of sites that don't think like our government. However Anonymous should take into account the fact that; hundreds of "fake" sites were created to harm and even destroy the government. You should read a lot before deciding on whose side is right. YouTube was banned due to the videos of our untouchable Atatürk.
