Un bisabuelo mio, Vicente Sanchez y Cano, combatio' a los invasores norteamericanos en Chapultepec en 1847 y fue coronel bajo los ordenes del emperador Maximilian I. Despues que el ayuda de soldados y de armas de Estados Unidos puso Juarez de nuevo en control de Mexico, le pusieron a mi bisabuelo la alternativa de servir al dictador Juarez o de ir a la prision. Rechazo' a Juarez diciendo que solo tenia su emperador y fue a las celdas de San Juan de Ulua en Veracruz por 9 anos. Viva Mexico!

QUE EMOCIONANTE QUE EXISTAN DESCENDIENTES DE DON AGUSTÌN DE ITURBIDE, AUNQUE VIVAN EN AUSTRALIA. HA DE SER PADRISIMO TENER UN ANTEPASADO TAN ILUSTRE COMO LO FUE Y ES AGUSTÌN DE ITURBIDE. EL HACEDOR Y CONSUMADOR DE LA INDEPENDENCIA DE MÈXICO. QUIEN NOS DIO LA LIBERTAD Y FUE LA ÙNICA OCASIÒN EN QUE MÈXICO FUE UN IMPERIO CON UN TERRITORIO VERDADERAMENTE EXTENSO. Y EN SENTIDO ESTRICTO FUE NUESTRO PRIMER PRESIDENTE Ò GOBERNANTE DEL MÉXICO INDEPENDIENTE.
