Battletoads (created by Rare) for the Nintendo Entertainment System is famous (or perhaps even notorious) for being one of the most frustratingly difficult video games ever made. This action platformer / beat-em'up is great fun nonetheless.

The shaft with the moving, electrified floors was as far as I ever got, and that includes using all the warps. Got to the top once, didn't beat the level. Never played again.

I remember getting to this flying level as a kid, and having about zero lives left over. Damn you Battletoads!

@nobuthorpe Good question! Well, while trying to find a safe spot against the rockets, I discovered that they were not finding their target in the bottom left corner for the most part, so I decided to stay there obviously hehe!

It might have been a programming glitch of some kind, as this game was obviously not designed to be easy. I often have a knack of exposing glitches for some reason, must be a result of the glitched sense :).
