"Taxi" is a song written and performed by Harry Chapin, from his album Heads and Tales in 1972. The single went to #24 on the Billboard charts, where it would last 16 weeks on the Hot 100, in the United States.
I consider this to be one the the great story telling songs of this generation.

This is my version... I omitted the falsetto part with the harmonics, couldn't do that stuff but I think it still came out okay.
