Avoid unnecessary journeys. • Beware of the dangers of braking on ice; Remember your braking distance is TEN TIMES GREATER than normal under these conditions. *TRAVEL* *DUBLIN AIRPORT* Due to the weather conditions there are flight delays and cancellations into and out of Dublin Airport. Check with your flight provider before setting off tonight. *LUAS* Luas services are running to schedule. *IRISH RAIL* There are no delays to DART services.
*DUBLIN BUS* Dublin Bus are running with some curtailments and there is no Nitelink service tonight. See www.dublinbus.ie for more. *BUS ÉIREANN* There are cancellations to a number of Bus Eireann services in the east on several routes. See www.buseireann.ie for more details. •MAIN TRAFFIC• • In the city centre, all bridges are very slippery including Church St Bridge, James Joyce Bridge, Harolds Cross and Baggot St. Avoid Bridge St if possible. Also, St. Augustine St & St. John St West are closed at the moment. • The M50 has been gritted but care is still advised on the on/off-ramps. • Icy conditions on the N32; drive with extra care. Drive with care also on back roads around Kinsealy & Malahide. Avoid Hollybrook Rd in Clontarf. • Conditions are slippery along the N3/Navan Rd in Dublin, especially approaching Clonee from Littlepace.
• Very icy on Brookfield Rd, the SCR at Islandbridge, Military Rd, Kilmainham Lane and St. John's Rd West. • Avoid the right lane on the exit for J5 Leixlip off the M4 as well as the slip road from the N4/Lucan Rd outbound at the Spa Hotel. •The Strawberry Beds & Tinkers Hill remain impassable. Knockmaroon Hill should be avoided. Icy on the Newcastle Rd, the Griffen Rd and Chapel Hill. * Very bad conditions on the N7 Naas Rd at the Red Cow.
• There is a burst watermain at the jct of Newtownpark Ave and Stradbrook Rd. The road has been gritted but extreme care is needed in the area. • Following recent snowfall the roads around Glencullen are impassable and extra care is needed around Stepaside Village.
