Comparing freebords and longboards is like comparing apples and oranges. They are entirely different. I'm a downhill longboarder and I do pretty well, but when I picked one of these up, it was like learning a whole new thing. I'm a pretty bad snowboarder, but I thought that it would help a little to have some snow experience. It didn't. These two sports have their own completely different set of requirements.
