Since the 1156 chips have a built in pci-e controller and only 16 lanes. That would be 2 slots running at 8x . So how does a third fit in? Would it run at 8x 4x 4x?

The 4x slot is running off the chipset, so it's not optimal for 3x graphics performance.

I'm sorry but the makers of the video need to do the research on this board. Thats not a CMOS reset, it's back to bios, the colour scheme matches Intels i-series marketing scheme.

"clear CMOS" means it resets the BIOS to defaults. Is that what you're trying to say?
