This was a case of Down Syndrome who had a bilateral simultaneous cataract extractions and a pterygium excision under General anesthesia. I routinely use MMC (Mitomycin C) for 1 minute after the excision of the pterygium and do a local rotational conjunctival flap WITHOUT Tennon capsule to avoid recurrence.
