Season 5 Episode 10 Part 1

Hosted by Leonard Nimoy and broadcast weekly from 1976 to 1982, In Search Of... is the greatest mystery documentary show ever. I grew up watching this show, enjoying the spine-tingling presentation of quasi-fact and dramatic synthesizer-heavy music of Rinder and Lewis.

I am not selling this material, neither am I interested in buying bootlegs. It is currently commercially unavailable, so I am joining with others to make evaluation of this excellent series possible.

  • jack nicholson played him well back in 1992.

  • Jimmy Hoffa was probably murdered by Big Business and the mob and the government. They all had good reason to fear Hoffa as Hoffa could have had enough power to destroy their little evil secret society corporate fascist agenda. The mob was often used by the government and business to do dirty work that they didn't want to be too close to. Hoffa was going to help build a society that would bring workin stiffs up out of poverty and the far right corporate pigs were against such justice in our land

  • FRANK the Irishman SHEERAN killed JIMMY HOFFA! A MOBSTER.SHEERANs ATTORNEY wrote a book called I HEARD YOU PAINT HOUSEs AND their making a MOVIE that will come out 2012!

  • @stk931 Supposedly under one of the end zones in Giant Stadium in E. Rutherford, NJ . . . It was demolished in 2010. Some have attempted to find the body in yjr dysfium. It is concluded hoffa is not, nor was he ever, buried there. It is considered an 'urban myth'. Great story though.

  • Neither the mob or the feds wanted him back in union business. Regardless of who killed him - both entities turned a blind eye. Any investigation was simply superficial. The government already knew he had been murdered - And the mob knew by whom. Both were happy he was gone.

  • Mob Hitman Richard Kuklinski claimed that he and others murdered Hoffa at the request of the mob. Kuklinski's favorite method of disposing of contracts was to hack them into pieces and scatter them around mob junkyards to be incinerated, crushed or melted. Jimmy is probably all over the place, recycled scrap to become park benches, bicycle wheels, who knows.....

  • I never knew this. Frank shot him in NW Detroit. But, what a shame. A true shame. What a great leader. He could have become President. Oh, my God... what a shame.

  • Not that I remember that much about the subject. Read a book some years ago on Hoffa's disappearance...

  • An arch-enemy and grand obstacle to the corporate behemoth is sent to prison, disappears and and is never seen again.. seems like a natural progression to me..

  • We know Hoffa got whacked. Chances are, his body was liquified or cut to pieces, thus not much chance of ever finding it.

  • they did not want hoffa back in control of the union, so he had to go.

  • there was talk that he is in tombed in GIANT STADUIM ..... sucks to be him ....THAT WACKY TEAMSTER ....
