Armored Core For Answer - Various Online Battles (6/2/2010)

ACFA Reg 1.4, Xbox 360. Some of the remaining footage from the last vid. More practice with manual sighting, and an experimental design in match #1. Which do you find more fun to watch, auto or manual lock?

I decided that I need more footage of me being torn up, so that's match #1 for you.

Match #2 has a sniper (or a rail cannon) in it, so I thought I'd add that in, since were on the topic of snipers in the comments section. I like to rapidly close in, suppress with missiles, and keep hitting him from his blind spot. Even if he sees you, as long as you keep him busy evading missiles while maintaining your own AC's speed, you'll create a lot of relative speed between you and him, which will make it extremely difficult for him to get a good lock with snipers. After that, it's a matter of how much damage you can deal from his blind spot.

I haven't played this game since I rented it for one week when it first came out. This whole video my eyes could barely keep up with the action. I forgot how good this game really was.

It had taken me until this year to realize how deep and flexible the game actually was. The ACfA that the high-rankers play (I'm still nothing compared to them) is like a completely different game from the ACfA that is advertised and shown in places like IGN or Gamespot and such. It kind of makes me glad to have delved as much into this game as I have.

i see pm missilse do the trick lol, all i need to do is find weapons to take down heavy and my mech scematics would be complete... sad thing is i wont be able to go on my 360 for a while so i wont be able to make chagnes T_T

Againt heavyweights, I think Musselshells work great. They're quite fast, so they double as chase weapons against mid-weights too. :)

Or you can try hi-lasers. They tear apart tanks. Really. :O

I've been fooling around with reverse joints recently, in moderation though. I heard it lags quite a lot under certain conditions. And it's a known fact that, on the PS3, it slowly bugs the game up until it goes fatal and crashes the PS3, sometimes damaging its data permanently. I've never seen it happen on the 360, but I'm still being wary.

I like to use Dearborn to break people open. You'll have to set yourself up for close range though, as they learn towards homing and damage rather than speed. Heavies will have a hard time evading them, and they really tear down PA. Ground pounders don't like them either since they have a large blast radius.

@Solterelor I hear that the online multiplayer in ACfA was way better than AC4. Watching your videos actually inspired me to get the game again. Unfortunately I deleted the data from my memory so I'll have to start all over again. :(
