i spent a lot of time and i did a lot of damage to commander shroob but no matter what he defeats mario, luigi, and baby mario and luigi

I actually spent 2 hours defeating the Shroob-omb itself- AND WHAT HAPPENED?! Another one arrived! Gah! Waste of my life!

when i first did him i skipped the save. ithought he would be in another room like the one after the save

im still trying! all i have is 5 ice flowers and fire flowers, 3 red shells and 11 green shells. all of my guys are on level 19. any suggestions?
