Artist: David Bridie
Album: Hotel Radio
Produced by Nick Littlemore with David Bridie
David Bridie is one of Australia's foremost composers for film and television, as well as a popular recording artist, both solo and with My Friend The Chocolate Cake. His career began with ambient/art band Not Drowning, Waving who were pioneers of the burgeoning World Music genre in the 1980s. They also appeared as support act on Peter Gabriel's 1994 Australian tour.
David's two solo albums, "Act of Free Choice" (2000) and "Hotel Radio" (2003) both sold well in Australia. "Act of Free Choice" was a darker, broodier affair than much of his earlier work and garnered a good deal of attention in the UK. "Hotel Radio" was lighter in mood, strong on melody and message, and thoughtfully and intricately produced.
David is currently putting the finishing touches to a new My Friend The Chocolate Cake album, titled "Home Improvements", scheduled for release in February 2007.
His latest soundtrack is for the soon to be released Working Title feature "Gone".

Love the outreaching hand.
Not sure about your description of NDW as 'world music' though :) - I think they were much more than that.

Yes NDW were much more than world music. I just said they were pioneers of it.
