Jeez I remember hawkwind doing this at henge when you could hang out on the stones , if heaven is as chilled as that we could still party with jim Morrison , Frank zappa, ......nice

@narred Agreed.."live 79" was the last album I purchased..great album..but "In Search Of Space" remains my personal favorite.

@KarmicAnarchist yeh, hawkwind were never a band of virtuosos. they were nevr on that level from the start from wot i've read. it was less about ego [unusual for musicians.. and yes, i'm one] and more about expanding the mind thru sound [and w some other things], to enjoy the experience of creativity and send a message. i don't get their stuff after pxr5 [80s onward stuff, i think]. live '79 was the last album by them i rated. then they just lost it somehow for me personally

@KarmicAnarchist ooops Yeah I should've read your comment properly.In that case I pretty much agree with you although I like both albums a lot & consider them to be quite diifferent to each other, probably because Calvert isn't on Mountain Grill. Cheers.

I think of all the tunes this band has done, 'Reefer Madness' definitely tells us what Hawkwind could really do if they just everything go. Agreed?
