Greeting by universally acclaimed director and member of World Cinema Foundation Filmmakers Board Walter Salles before the screening of Limite at the Norwegian Opera & Ballet Oct.10, 2010.

Films from the South festival celebrated it's 20th anniversary with a gala screening and concert at the Norwegian Opera & Balet. The recently restored Limite was screened while Bugge Wesseltoft and ensemble performed his newly composed musivc for the film. This is the first time a film screening with live music has taken place in the Oslo Opera House and it was also Bugge Wesseltoft's debut on this stage.

Films from the South festival wishes to use its anniversary to focus attention on the global case of film preservation and the pending cooperation with World Cinema Foundation, a non-profit foundation established by Martin Scorsese in 2007, that raise funds and awareness for the restoration of neglected films from around the world.
