Adam was not the first human on earth bcoz according to quran,when God said He wanted to sent a viceroy on earth,the angel ask ''would you send a human who will spill blood and crimes" showed that angels had witnessed that human race on earth,otherwise how come angel knows something that not yet happened.

@satisfucktor Satan is the viceroy, God gave Satan the planet Earth so he could prove his claim that he too could be a god alongside God. Human beings were given freedom of choice to decide if Satan could be a god. Everything about Adam, our creation and how Satan rules the world is in the Quran.

there was no distinguishable first man on earth. there was a very gradual progression from hominid to modern human.

that is not true, Adam did not father us all, it did not say so in the Bible. In the beginning God created the earth, the animals and man with mean many people. then He created the Garden of Eden and place Adam and Eve who had Cain and Able. Cain killed Able and ran away to a place where he found people. Well, go back to the beginning of the Bible where it was mentioned that God created man before it was mentioned he created Adam and Eve. Where did those people came from?
