an idea for a magnetic motor, shame it didn't have the power to get up the ramp but perhaps you could improve?

Could you explain a little about the design? What is the magnet on the left hand side, what moves it?

EErr, my hand, But the rotor has a long rod on it. the idea was that this acted as a cam and hit a ramp on the stator so that the magnet would be moved up and down. But , alas it was not to be , and it does not work without my hand helping it along.
