Rep. Emanuel: "The chairman of the committee said it's the Congress who conducts oversight. When we were told this was not going to be a long war, where was the oversight? When we were told that the war in Iraq was going to be conventional and it became a guerrilla war, where was the oversight? When we were told we were going to be greeted as liberators, but became occupiers, where was the oversight? When it was clear we needed twice as many troops, where was the oversight? This congress walked away from its responsibility."

  • Free press... yeah right. I say the Free Press got an F in it's coverage leading up to the war.

  • let me try: ok, everybody play like they care about the country, truth, the troops, yada yada. Dems...ACT like you want nothing more than to end the war. GOP: stop us. This will look great in 08. We will win.

  • DUBBED. The speaking isn't even close to his lips' movement. They should let me do the dubbing, at least he'd say something like: "I like gorillas. Congress needs more gorillas. We have enough monkies like Nancy Pelosi, but we need more gorillas."
