  • Great safety messages and instructions @mattyvt93! Over 160 Aussies are injured or killed each year from incorrectly using jacks to work under their vehicles, and you’re helping to reduce this number.

Check out our video ‘Don't be a jackass - an anti-manual for using a car jack’ and visit our mobile-friendly site (URL in video info) where you can enter our competition to win an Adrenalin experience! (Competition ends 31 January 2012 – see T&Cs for more info)

  • @ACCCProductSafety Thanks for the comment bud!

  • good vid matt, some cars are easier than others, good thing theres an ultra low profile jack available, they're good, they can fit under ultra low cars, just gotta know where the hoist pad is!

  • @HDXFH Thanks Larry! Yeah very true!

  • I remember when I had a rear wheel drive car,a lot easier for jacking at the rear because of the differential.I find now these days with all front wheel drive cars you have to be very careful where to place the jack as not to bend something, not like my Oldsmobile Toronado which had a full frame chassis which you could jack It from almost any point.lol.Great tips In this video Matt.Well done.

  • @wayfairing3 lol yeah indeed!

Yes alot of the newer cars you have to be careful where you jack it from, i know some of the newer landrovers, you can bend the chassis if you dont jack it up right.

    Yeah full chassis are best.

    Cheers John!
