Tamara was in prison for larceny and she died from alcholism.

Intersting, for as good as Tamara was, you never saw her or heard about her, she got a silver right next to Olga and many people wouldn't even know her.

Interesting that for all their accomplishments, neither one had a particularly easy personal life--for that matter, it wasn't all sunshine for Nadia, either. Would any of them claim it was worthwhile? Hard to say.

uh olga had a different coach than Tamara, (olga was raped-in her words), and nobody on the team, including Ludmilla and Tamara, were ever friendly with her. i'm not trying to minimalize tamara's experience, but olga's was no walk in the park either.

Thanks for posting! It´s sad what happened to Tamara Lazakovitch.She,Olga Korbut and Ludmilla Tourischeva were the best in the USSR olympic gymnasts team!
