All auditions are to be posted as video responses to THIS VIDEO to qualify, though if you'd like to ALSO post them as video responses to the karaoke tracks, that's fine too. Just make sure you remember to post it here, too.


Feel free to audition for more than one character! More than likely, if you're auditioning for Gabe, your voice probably suits Henry, too. The same goes for Dan/Dr. Madden. Don't feel limited to just those though. Diana/Natalie, Gabe/Dan, anything is fine. I don't mind. :)

Also, you may use the provided karaoke tracks, or you can sing a capella. Video or just audio are both accepted, whichever has the best audio quality. :)

I absolutely cannot WAIT to see your submissions! I really hope to increase the amount of fan Next to Normal videos here on Youtube.

NOTE - JULY 4, 2009
Hey guys! Happy 4th of July! So, I know I keep delaying this and I'm sure you guys are getting pretty annoyed and just want the darn cast already. Sorry, but I have to extend the deadline until JULY 12, 2009. You see, I was planning on announcing the cast on the 8th. It turns out that I'll be in NYC seeing 9 to 5 that day (look for audios soon!), so obviously that won't be working. I figured that people may not be able to get in last minute submissions because of the holiday weekend. So, thanks for all of your support with this project so far! I really, really appreciate it. :)

OH! ANOTHER THING!
If you are uncomfortable in front of a camera or can only record audio, feel free to just message me the audio or video if it's set to private. I'll accept submissions that way, but know that if you're casted, you may have to come out of your shell ;). (That's for you camera shy folk!)

These things never work out due to lack or mixing/editing issues, bad karaokes, difference in mic quality and the fact that youtubers will never be able to do what the broadway pros do :/
