A song I sang for a music recital I participated in!

The song is from a book: Schirmer's 24 Italian songs and arias of the 17th and 18th century for Medium High Voice

  • I do have class but I thought i should tell you the truth and not lie.

  • Whenever you have truth it must be given with love, or the message and the messenger will be rejected.

    Mahatma Gandhi

  • Wow, Congrats. So do they teach you how to have class at your middle school? : D

  • I'm sorry the sound quality is so bad. You're tone sounded lovely, and I wish I could have heard it better!

Just remember to open your mouth taller, not wider. Don't raise your chin on the high notes, and look for breath marks. You sang through a lot of them. They're like gold to a singer! lol. Take advantage.

    Very nice.

  • Thank you very much, I'll make sure to keep those things in mind next time! I think my Voice teacher purposely had me singing through a few of the breath marks for breath control or something, it's been so long I can't quite remember anymore *^_^*

  • You sound beautiful. Nice nice nice job!

  • I'm singing this song for solo and ensamble this year... in about a week and a half... i'm really nervous... does anyone who knows this song have any advice for me about singing well or anything??

  • I am singing this song in about four hours for a recital. I am totally freaking out, but I found your video and I'm listening to it on repeat, just to get the tune in my head. You did a lovely job--and you hit the note I always mess up on.

  • i sang this recently and i noticed you messed up the words hah. and just some tips if youre ever going to sing this in the future, in the beginning try and take out all the H's in danza and make it more dantza dantza fanchoolah gentile. and when you sing youre t's try and make them dental t's so say gendile almost. it sounds more italian.

  • Hells they gave me a 1 rating for this at SE from the Head choral director at University of Texas.....He was a tenor too just like me

  • Charming.

  • I can tell that your tone is lovely dear! My choir director is having me sing this one (Except for high, not medium high), and I was looking for examples. The only thing I would say is to definitly look closer at the breath marks and relaxe your jaw so that it is open more that way the sound will travel outward. I wish I could've heard you in person, your tone quality is just so lovely!

  • I sang this song when I was in choir participating in regionals and what not in highschool.. =) should put a little sticcato (however its pronounced) toward the end.. and a little crescendo+decrescendo on the around 0:13

  • a little pitchie in places but good :)
