if i'm not mistaken a baphomet would be a pentagram oriented horns up, representing the goat-head of baphomet.

Festerday is one of those bands I remember when I was searching for finnish death metal bands from Xysmic's and Mahalist's channels :D Great cover art! And music is great too!

Baphomets are not upside down pentagrams it's just the symbol of the beastie guy, it's also kept as satanic symbol so it is very related to pentagram, in other words when you see a Baphomet you also see a Pentagram.
Pentagram symbol came from the christians but it is kept as satanic symbol these days, it is associated with many things. Mostly as five wounds of the Christ. (related to suffering of him)
Abstract: Pentagram is satanic symbol, it's evil it's fucking badass...

erm,,,, the sign on the cover of venom is the same exact same sign in their logo. look it up. pentagrams are used by kids who think they are cool, in actuality pentagrams are a holy christian symbol... you cant get any more wimpy than that

baphomets are upside down pentagrams. its like a cross versus an inverted cross.

OOO! This is fucking good,
Both thumbs ups, Xysmic! You are a really cool uploader :D

Yeah don't get me wrong i like oldschool Death metal (and metal in general very much)
I just mean that it's a fact there were so many bands doing the same thing, which is good. I like the music, but there was VERY many doing the same thing.
Starting in the early 90's, when Death metal became very big thing
I personally listen mostly the original bands from the 80's. It's hard to do much new these days, and it means music and other things in life as well, just gotta try your best i think

It IS pentagram man, Baphomet is someting like in the cover of Venom's "Welcome to hell" album.
And Pentagrams are not for pussies :)
The picture is fantastic! , very cheesy to put a pentagram in a logo.
Not bad but i don't find anything special or different about so many Death metal bands coming out in those days. Badass riffs nontheless!

I do have to disagree.
Okay, many bands weren't significantly different back in those days, but when you compare those bands to modern ones, you'll see that only a few bands come up with something innovational these days.
Back in those days, Death metal had to be invented, and influences were sought from somewhere else, than straight copying another band. I had to be a step away from mainstream, and taking a risk, that it could simply be to much for the people.

Would you be kind enough to explain the visual difference between a pentagram and a baphomet. Frankly speaken, I didn't quite get it.
