Great sounds on video.

Have I made a mistake in buying this pedal... No matter what i try can't get sounds anywhere near this video.

it's going back in it's box & staying there.. now maybe i have the

wrong amp or guitar ( 3 of them) but my amp ( line 6 spider1 ) sounds better on it's own.Should this unit only be used on a valve amp .. I'm not slagging this pedal off because if it's not intended to be used with a solid state amp then it's my mistake but i've not seen that stated anywhere.

Hey,

Peta on the video uses an Artec G25 small combo. So you dont need any tube amp to recieve the same sound. The pedal knows that sound there is no trick on the video, but personally I dont like Line6 spider.

@keforfender i think your amp is the problem, digital modeling amps usually don't responde well to pedals. you'll just have to use the blues sounds from your crappy line 6 amp, or buy a very simple "input - volume knob - speaker - sound" guitar amp.

@keforfender Don't ditch the pedal...ditch that Line-6 amp. I had the same one and I couldn't get ANY pedals to work with it. I finally sold it for $50 to a co-worker and bought a Fender Princeton 650 which is WORLDS BETTER and still a combo amp.

Trust me, the only thing holding your sound back is that crappy line-6 amp.

I`m agree .. Line 6 Amps.... sound really bad for me .. unless you have a personal taste on line6 amps.. but for me, thet sound too digital.. and pedals like this one... won`t sound in the way they should be.

@keforfender a good experienced versatile guitar player can  make a rubber band nailed to a board sound good. It is all in the hands of the user.Line 6 are shite amp.s and if you are not playing a G & L or an Ibanez guitar then you are on the wrong track.

You don't need a tube amp for good OD tone, but if you are not an experienced player an OD is actually a hard pedal to use. You "play" it - the harder you pick, the more "driven" the sound and you clean up by light picking &/or rolling off your guitar volume. 4 things screw up OD use: bad right hand control; compressors; too low amp volume; digital amps (tubes are best; solid state sometimes OK; digital usually awful). This is a decent sounding OD IMO-but you have to know how to play with one.
