Club and Club PAC Launch TV Ad in NY-23

Washington Club for Growth and Club for Growth PAC will launch a $300,000 television ad campaign tomorrow in the special election for New York's 23rd Congressional District. The campaign follows the Club for Growth PAC's Sept. 28 endorsement of Doug Hoffman, a Republican running on the Conservative ticket, over liberal Republican Dede Scozzafava and Democrat Bill Owens.

The television ad will run in all three of the principle TV markets in NY-23 (Watertown, Burlington, and Syracuse). The ad asks, Tired of choosing between two liberals for Congress? Both Scozzafava and Owens support big government policies like Obamas stimulus plan, Cash for Clunkers, and card check. Thankfully, there is a better choice in conservative Doug Hoffman, who is an Army veteran, financial expert, and small business owner.

Theres a stark contrast in the three candidates running in this race, said Club for Growth President Chris Chocola. The two liberals, Dede Scozzafava and Bill Owens, support the Pelosi tax and spend agenda while Doug Hoffman offers a fiscally conservative alternative based on lower taxes and limited government. Hoffman is the only candidate in the race who will fight for less wasteful spending, no more bailouts, and no tax hikes on hard working Americans.

  • Since when is being a "centrist", being a liberal? Do conservatives see the world in black and white?

Expelling all the moderates is not a smart move, a bigger party is better than a small party.

  • Yes, make sure that more stupid reactionary fundies like you get into power!

  • Spoken like someone who suffers from paranoia and mental retardation. Are you a fundamentalist too?

  • The GOP now totally panders to stupid, low class fundamentalist ignoramuses who wear their ignorance and bigotry like a badge of honor

  • Spoken like a true know nothing fundy!

  • ahhh yes the PALIN kiss of death i just hope she goes down to florida for rubio next mmmmm mmmmm love that big tent smell! LOWL

  • owens and Garamendi are two dems going to the white house HAHA madame speaker is just giddy with excitement you can have your republican governors the dems won this one again hahahaha

  • I love the negative comments, Bush was bad but Obama is marching us to NWO and tyranny faster than any other president in modern history, and we're the problem. Democrats are divided in Congress and we're the kooks, sure, whatever.

    Win Hoffman win!!

  • Dede is pathetic. What a liberal POS. I piss on her candidancy.

  • it is not realistic to think that the owners of the republican/conservative party have any interest in allowing you to become wealthy.

what they say and what they do are not the same thing. again, they are masters at tricking gullible people into voting against their interests.

if you are not rich now, you never will be as long as special interests are allowed to buy politicians.
